Get Support

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, or just need someone to talk to, you’re in the right place. Our volunteers have been in similar situations, and are here to listen without judgement, support you with what you want help with, and (if you choose) encourage you spiritually. You don’t have to do this alone.

What You Can Expect

  • One-on-one emotional and spiritual support from someone with lived experience

  • Listening, empathy, prayer (if desired), and practical guidance

  • Not counseling, therapy, or medical advice

  • Conversations are confidential and nonjudgmental

Who This Is For

  • Individuals struggling with their own mental health

  • Family members or loved ones supporting someone who is struggling

  • People of any faith background (spiritual support is always offered respectfully)

How It Works

  2. We’ll match you with a trained Christian Peer or Family Peer Volunteer

  3. Your peer will reach out to schedule a time to talk

  4. You’ll connect at your own pace, on your own terms

FAQs

  • Yes, your privacy is very important to us. All conversations with your peer volunteer are kept confidential, and your personal information will never be shared without your permission—except in rare cases where safety is a concern (such as risk of harm to yourself or others). Our volunteers are trained to follow ethical guidelines, including confidentiality, boundaries, and respect. We want you to feel safe and supported every step of the way.

  • After you submit your request, we typically match you with a peer volunteer within 3–5 business days. Once matched, your volunteer will reach out to you directly to introduce themselves and schedule a time to connect. If there’s ever a delay, we’ll do our best to keep you informed. Thank you for your patience—we want to make sure you’re matched with the right person.

  • No. Peer support through Christian Peer Network is completely free. We are a nonprofit ministry supported by donations and partnerships so that no one is turned away from receiving help.

  • That depends on your needs and availability. Some people connect weekly, others just check in occasionally. You and your volunteer can decide together what works best for you.

  • No problem—just let us know. We understand that not every match is a perfect fit, and we’re happy to rematch you with another volunteer if needed.

  • Absolutely. You are in control of the relationship at all times. If you ever feel the need to pause or discontinue support, you can do so without explanation or pressure.

  • All of our volunteers complete a Christ-centered certification training that covers communication skills, ethical guidelines, mental health basics, crisis awareness, and spiritual care. They are equipped to listen with empathy, offer practical support, and walk alongside others respectfully and safely.
