Once we receive your application, our team will review it and follow up with you within 7–10 days. You may be contacted for a short interview to learn more about your story, readiness, and goals for serving with CPN.

No. Our volunteers are not clinicians—they are peers with lived experience. What matters most is your ability to listen, support with empathy, and maintain healthy boundaries, all grounded in your faith.

The Christian Peer and Family Peer Certification Training typically takes place over several sessions (virtual or in-person), totaling about 15–20 hours. You’ll also have access to ongoing training and support after certification.

Only the cost of the background check is charged to you. There is no other cost to apply or receive training. Christian Peer Network is a donor-supported ministry that provides training and resources at no charge to volunteers.
